Our Story

85°C Bakery Cafe is excited to introduce Jiou Chu Dumplings from Taichung, Taiwan to the U.S. with its flagship location in Rowland Heights, CA. Jiou Chu Dumplings is a casual sit-down dining experience that presents a blend of traditional and modern flavors. We offer a wide variety of Taiwanese dishes including dumplings, noodles, and sides. Our goal is to bring the nostalgia and comfort of a home cooked Taiwanese meal to your table.

Meet our master chef Yongju "Jerry" Chen

Our master Chef Jerry arrived from Taiwan to develop the Jiou Chu menu months before opening our doors. Based off the original Taiwanese Jiou Chu recipes, he incorporated our local ingredients and put together dishes with just the right flavor for our region.

These Jiou Chu dishes are now reminiscent of homecooked Taiwanese cooking, with an added flair of American flavor.

Fun Fact: In his research and development here in the US, he became so immersed in the local culture that he created the beef and cheese pan fried dumpling as an ode to American cheese burgers.
